Scytale, a technology company working in cybersecurity and compliance, had outgrown its previous premises. thinkspace was asked to relocate and refurbish 1,075m² on a single floor at Melrose Arch – a workspace large enough for the company’s growth, and one that expressed its brand identity rather than simply housing it. The guiding idea was to translate that identity into a modern, functional workspace balancing bold design with practicality. The ambition on arrival was specific: the space should be instantly recognisable as Scytale’s before a visitor sees a logo, achieved through considered colour, contemporary finishes and bold accents used consistently across the floor. The detail requiring the greatest care carries the brand furthest. Custom wallpaper and glass vinyl were developed for the project, with repeating elements of Scytale’s logo composed to tile seamlessly across walls and glazing. The vinyl does double duty, turning the privacy manifestation the glass needs anyway into brand identity. The plan balances open collaborative areas with a range of focus rooms sized for different group sizes, while a spacious café and collaborative lounge anchor the informal half of the day. That variety is deliberate: it lets people move between focused work, teamwork and informal interaction, and keeps the floor adaptable as the company evolves. The result is a workspace Scytale is proud to welcome both employees and visitors into — a bold, brand-led environment that feels unmistakably theirs.
